Re: Default QoS Rules Contest
Been using your settings for a few days now Knomax, and they are pretty good. Web pages still respond well under heavy load. Its also not too cluttered either with many rules so to me its a good contender for the best default rules contest :) Only one problem with this is, you just have to be mindfu...

Re: Default QoS Rules Contest
So in regards to gaming, has anyone come to a conclusion as to what setup is best? When your connection is being bombarded from a few other members in the house especially hehe. I'm currently using the new default setup as per OP with an additional QoS channel that has a rule to forward traffic on ...

Re: Default QoS Rules Contest
It hasn't gotten me an A consistently (last test was a C), but using the current new defaults in post #1 gives results much better than it was. Can't post pics/links but this was last test I ran: dslreports.com/speedtest/21179936.png http://dfkrkqaqb1zsx.cloudfront.net/speedtest/cdn/21179936.png Is...

Re: Default QoS Rules Contest
I do have an additional QoS rule option for those that care about improving bufferbloat (lag that occurs when your bandwidth is saturated). When tested on DSLReports' speed test, this gets you an A/A+. It hasn't gotten me an A consistently (last test was a C), but using the current new defaults in ...

Anyone else have problems with UDP applications?
Feels like gargoyle does not like having more than one application at a time using the UDP port. If there is 2+ on at once the whole thing becomes seriously laggy. Really laggy. Weird thing is though while pings and all that are normal there is a lot of lag like packets loss. I thought it was kinda ...

Re: fq_codel
Gargoyle users can be assured that they do not suffer from bufferbloat issues when ACC is on. And kackle with amusement when non-users complain about it. But thats assuming ACC is working as intended, which most times, is not. Not a fault of the program itself but its just susceptible to many errors.

Re: QoS for gaming
From my testing it seems BF1 will use either 3216 or 10000-10100 for its gaming traffic.

Re: Unexplainable lag
WDR1043v2 with 1.9.1 currently, its always been a problem (even with previous versions) but it was very difficult to track and isolate what it was.

Unexplainable lag
Been trying to figure out this phantom lag phenomenon thats been going on and i have found the problem but not quite sure of a solution. Youtube viewed from mobile has an unexplainable lag to it. It uses port 443 but i notice that 95% of the traffic is through the UDP protocol while very little of i...
