Restrict a single host to the local network only

Post by jamesp »

Hi

Is there anyway I can restrict a single host on my Gargoyled Netgear WNDR3700v1 router to the local network only?

I am running Gargoyle 1.5.11.

Firewall -> Restrictions
create new rule with MAC address of client, timing = all day every day, all network access restricted

see http://www.gargoyle-router.com/wiki/dok ... strictions

That works!
Thanks.

I had seen these firewall restrictions before, but incorrectly assumed that restricting All Network Access included both the local and public networks.

Hi,

I am trying to achieve the same: restrict a single host to the LOCAL network, but allow access to the WAN.

The solution above, restrict imho all network access.
An IPTABLES command would also work for me
