So I was attempting to get Gargoyle functioning on my router as a simple repeater with no joy (tried 1.10, 1.8. 1.6) ... so I was going to try DD-WRT and proceeded to, via the webgui, install the DD-WRT image as an "update" within Gargoyle.
Didn't finish successfully and now my router is blinking lights in an endless loop.
It seems this MR3420 v1.2 doesn't have a failsafe mode to enable me to use TFTP and simply restore it? Or maybe it does and I'm uninformed?
Any advice on how to bring it back to life short of doing hardware fiddling?
Thank you!

There appears to be tftp support which should still be working. Otherwise serial instructions are also provided (albeit for an older model so tread carefully).
