Re: Bridge Mode - How to do it right
Hi Lantis
Im noob to this. I got archer c7 v2 with garg 1.9.2 or 1.10.0
I used to have it as a default gateway on 192.168.1.2
I tried changing it to wired bridge router. Bridge ip was 192.168.1.2 mask 255.255.255.0 and AP gateway 203.0.178.191. The minute i saved settings i lost the ability to connect to the router completely. No default ip shows when i cmd ipconfig. I tried putty and failsafe the router. It seems like its getting into failsafe with the fast blinking but still putty shows error msg "no route to host". Both via ssh and via telnet
Please help

Re: Bridge Mode - How to do it right
you need to set a static IP on your PC
Re: Bridge Mode - How to do it right
In the bridge mode (wired). Will i be a able to monitor bandwidth distribution and allocate fixed ips to users and then quotas? That is on the client router
Re: Bridge Mode - How to do it right
Hello experts,
I am in the same pool. I have a router with gargoyle (1.10.0) which I want to use as a range extender. For this I opted to set the router in 'Wireless Bridge/Repeater'.
I have a primary router with IP 10.10.10.1 and 255.255.255.0 as netmask. I have mapped 10.10.10.2 with the MAC of my secondary router to make sure that it gets 10.10.10.2.
Now in my secondary router, I tried setting these
bridge IP - 10.10.11.1
AP/Gateway IP: 10.10.10.1
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Wired clients do get the predefined IP from the primary router (MAC mapped), but it cannot connect to the internet.
Please assist me with this.

Re: Bridge Mode - How to do it right
Perfect thanks
I've now bridged my pfSense box through gargoyal router to act as a wireless access point. This keeps all the IPs in the same subnet as the pfSense box which issues the DHCP leases.
