additional device support

Post by Slimey »

Not sure if it is okay to post this here but here goes.

https://github.com/danielg4/openwrt/tre ... 20-testing the Adtran BSAP-192x series covers the Adtran BSAP models 1920/25

https://openwrt.org/toh/hwdata/bluesock ... ap-1800_v2

these are both ath79 targets

If this is not the correct place or forum to post for new device support please feel free to move or edit.

Thanks

Thanks for your request.
There's a few problems with supporting this device:
- It is only supported in the Master branch of OpenWrt. Gargoyle is currently using OpenWrt 18.06, and a development branch is in the works to be based on OpenWrt 19.07. So unless support for this device was backported to either branch, the possibility of supporting this device within the next 12 months is near zero
- The flashing instructions are reasonably complex. This isn't necessarily a show stopper, but it does increase the chances that someone will get it wrong which is never a good thing.

If you wanted support in the meantime, my suggestion would be to either try and backport the device support to the OpenWrt 19.07 branch, and then use the 1.13.x development Gargoyle branch to try and custom compile an image for it.
OR
Try to custom compile Gargoyle on the Master branch of OpenWrt.

Please be respectful when posting. I do this in my free time on a volunteer basis.
